Taste Istanbul - on the search of spices, Turkish delights, baklavas & Turkish coffee
Let us share with you our daily lives and tastes while walking through the heart of modern and old Istanbul. This is an interactive tour where you will live Istanbul with asking questions, tasting samples of delicious food and walking through crowds. We will begin our tour in Taksim Square where the city never sleeps. Start walking through Istiklal Street, we will have a peek at the most popular (not necessarily the fanciest) restaurants to understand the Turkish cuisine. We will be learning about and tasting various kind of food while walking through flower passage and small fish market and towards the end of Istiklal Street. We will continue our walk down to Galata Tower and pass through Galata Bridge. From one of many boats on the shore, we will buy sandwich lunch of fresh fish caught that morning by the fishermen on the bridge. We will then walk to Spice Market to loose ourselves amongst spices, Turkish delights, baklavas, coffee shops, delicatessen and we will make our way to Grand Bazaar where has been very lively for hundreds of years as it was the heart of economy and politics in Old Istanbul.. With thousands of shops selling many oriental ornaments, jewelry, food, handicrafts and now many perfectly faked big brands (J) Grand Bazaar still keeps it charm. This tour requires ability of walking for some hours
